My background
Early years of my career
My mum knew I was going to venture into the hair and beauty industry at the age of 8 when I asked for a pretty cut and grow doll instead of a bike! This creativity carried on after college studying hair and beauty, and I found myself working for a fantastic salon in High St Kensington in London where I trained to be a stylist.
Opening my own home salon
Fast forward 10 years or so after leaving London and finding myself as a single mum with various jobs whilst still fitting in mobile hairdressing in the evenings ( did you know I was a trampoline coach!?). I realised I was missing out on big income by not doing hair colour… I worked so hard and re-trained myself to gain the confidence in colour that I was lacking. We built our home studio and this is when my business soared.
First colour education clients
Like for most of us, during Covid-19 we have had time to reflect on what we want out of life. This light bulb moment hit strong with me whilst studying and training one day and I felt a great pull to go into education. I knew I could be that person that helps inspire and gives confidence to those that are struggling and have self doubt in their colour skills. Before I knew it Olivia Kate Colour Education was born and live zoom classes commenced!

So here we are, when I say I’ve worked myself up from the bottom to the top I mean it!
Life is a journey. I passionately believe in continual learning in this trade, and always seek out education for my own growth. what I can offer you is the knowledge I’ve learnt along the way giving you the ‘Ah ha’ moments. I can help you gain your confidence back leaving you with a better understanding and the skill sets to push forward, helping you to attract the clients YOU want resulting in more money in your bank account, freeing up your personal time for your life.
